    Description

    The ADSS cable employs a loose tube structure housing fibers within high modulus plastic. These tubes

    contain a water-resistant filling compound and are arranged around a Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP), se-

    rving as a central non-metallic strength member. This assembly forms a compact circular core. Following

    the filling of the cable core, it receives a thin PE inner sheath. Next, a stranded layer of aramid yarns is a-

    pplied over this sheath for added strength, and finally, the cable is finished with a PE or AT outer sheath.


    Application

    1 ADSS cable designs account for the specifics of existing overhead power lines.

    2 PE outer sheaths are used for lines under 110kV; AT sheaths for 110kV and higher.

    3 Tailored aramid quantity and stranding techniques meet various spans' requirements.
